The flagship program in Pennsylvania College Football added another gem to its 2026 recruiting class. DB/RB David Davis announced his commitment to Penn State via X on Tuesday, March 25th. Davis chose Penn State over his other top choices of Nebraska, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. This marks the fourth top-10 recruit from Pennsylvania to pledge loyalty to Penn State in the class of 2026. Although early, the Nittany Lions currently hold the seventh-best recruiting class in the country for the upcoming year.
In 2024, Davis was a catalyst for one of the premier teams in PIAA football. Going 11-1, Imani Christian had an impressive season and stood undefeated through regular-season play. Their season would come to an abrupt end, losing to eventual 3A runner-ups in Avonworth. Despite the early exit, Davis made his mark, racking up D-1 offers and solidifying himself as one of the 10 best High School Football players in the state of Pennsylvania. Even though David Davis committed today, he still has one more season at Imani Christian before he rocks the 100,000+ seat Beaver Stadium. Couple Davis with a plethora of other Nittany Lions recruits, and it’s safe to say Penn State is in a great position for years to come.
