Quinton Martin commits to Penn State

Friday April 7th, 2023 will be marked as a huge day for Penn State football as they got future class of 2024 graduate, and four-star recruit, Belle Vernon’s own Quinton Martin. 

Martin is ranked as the best high school football player in Pennsylvania and 30th in the entire country. Martin had 19 D1 College football offers among other schools as well. Florida State, University of Pittsburgh, University of Miami, University of Michigan to name a few.

In three years at Belle Vernon, he has 2,601 career rushing yards, 698 career receiving yards and 54 career touchdowns. And this past season helped lead Belle Vernon to a 3A WPIAL title and 3A state championship.

As if his stat resume wasn’t enough, Martin is a two-sport athlete and is a part of the Belle Vernon varsity basketball team. 

Martin averages 19 points a game with just under 10 rebounds a game as well. 

While Martin has one more season to go, he is expected to be someone to help bring Penn State back into the National Championship conversation.
