21 years of history boiled over in a Trinity blowout over Wash High 41-0 that left Prexies players dumbfounded. Since 1999, cross-town rivals Trinity and Washington have been without each other on the schedule, however with a cancellation from Uniontown earlier in the season, the Hillers had the opportunity to schedule Wash High who also had the open date.
Stalling opening drives for both teams would not preview the rest of the game. On the Prexies second drive, Micah Finley would scoop and score a 50 yard fumble from Amari Miller to open the flood gates.

On the very next drive another fumble would lead to a deep pass to Tysean Lacks to make the score 13-0. At this point in the game, Washington looked tired and unmotivated. It would get worse.

On the following drive, another fumble would give way to a weaving Micah Finley for his second of the game.

The Trinity defense dominated the line of scrimmage throughout the entire game. A rushing attack led by dynamic athletes in Mike Allen and Tayshawn Levy was dominated between the tackles. QB Davoun Fuse had a long night feeling pressure from Ty Banco and Mason Kreaer for the entire matchup. A tough and physical senior led group up front turned a normally dominant Wash HIgh O line into bread pudding for the entire night.

A putrid second quarter was just a preview for what the second half would turn into for the Prexies. Micah Finley and Tysean Lacks would account for 3 more scores before the final buzzer, and to add insult to injury, Trinity held Wash High in the final seconds on the goal line to maintain the shutout.

Unfortunately for Trinity, the playoffs hopes may be dwindling. A late McKeesport win against West Mifflin may keep the Hillers out of the Wild Card. If Trinity hopes to make it to the WPIAL 4A playoffs, they will need the Tigers to lose out against Laurel Highlands and Thomas Jefferson and tehe Hillers will need to beat Belle Vernon and Laurel Highlands to finish out the year.
