Westinghouse took down University 17-0 on a wet Friday night at Cupples Stadium to advance to the City League final, where they will take on Allderdice next Saturday afternoon.

On their first drive, University rode Paul Helvy for two long runs and got to the 11 of Westinghouse. Their drive stalled and their field goal attempt was blocked.

Westinghouse took over at the 31 after recovering the blocked kick. Malik Harris carried for a first down near midfield. Their drive fizzled and House would punt and receive a friendly bounce, downing the punt inside the 10.

On the first play from scrimmage for University, Akron bound Rashan Murray was sacked in the endzone for a safety, setting the score at 2-0 with 4:18 to go in the first. After fielding the kick at their 36, Harris carried on the first play for a gain of 17 and advanced into University territory. Keyshawn Morsillo added a 19 yard gain and the House was back in business. After a penalty, Kahlil Taylor carried 31 yards and inside the 10. Morsillo kept for a 1YD TD run and the lead went to 9-0 after Osavio Martin PAT.

In the second quarter, the teams traded possessions as University punted and then Morsillo had his pass picked off by Raheim Jefferson in the endzone. University gave up the ball when Deshaun Blackwell intercepted a Keon Smalls pass at midfield. After establishing a running game, Taylor carried for his second TD of the day from 9 yards out. Harris carried for the conversion and the score stood 17-0 with 2:56 to go in the first half, which is where we stood at halftime.

The score remained unchanged the remainder of the way.
