Coach Says: Sammy missed all but 1 game last year with a broken collar bone and torn labrum suffered in 7v7’s. Sammy is an explosive kid on both sides of the ball that loves to step up to me cover the opponents #1 WR every week. Sammy had 9 TDs receiving and over 800 yards as a sophomore. All conference corner as a sophomore as well. He’ll be a 3 time starter on defense and 2 time starter on offense (without playing as a JR). He’s a great student with a 4.0 GPA and a young man we are expecting big things from this season!

What is the best part of being a student-athlete for the Raiders ?
The coaches always make sure we are caught up with our work and excelling in classes.

Why do you play football ?
I play football because I enjoy the environment and team atmosphere it provides.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
I have played football since 8th grade.

It’s GameDay !! What are you looking forward to the most ?
I’m looking forward to being under the lights, playing with my team, and just having a good time.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
The best atmosphere has to be Punxsutawney my Sophomore year. They had the best atmosphere because we were playing for a trophy on TV in a downpour, the game was extremely close and just felt great to play in.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
I want to be on defense because nothing is more demoralizing than shutting down teams best players, especially when it matters most.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
My biggest achievement is being an All Conference CB my Sophomore year, or winning gold in the 300mh at Districts.

What was the high point of the 2024 season ?
I was injured almost all 2024 season, but being at the summer workouts and lifts with my team and friends was great.

What are your goals for the 2025 season ?
My goals for the 2025 season are to win the District championship and be an All Conference CB/WR.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2025 ?
I will definitely miss their impact on the field, but I will miss their leadership even more so.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like the most, and why ?
My brothers are my mentors and the people I want to be like the most because, they have taught me most of everything I know, and are amazing people to look up to in every facet of life.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
My favorite sports star is Josh Allen because he has always be an underdog and overlooked but continues to prove everyone wrong.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
My favorite play was against Saint Mary’s my Sophomore year. I ran a corner route into the end zone and my brother threw the ball up to me and I caught it with one hand for the touchdown.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
The best players I have ever lined up against are Hayden Freeman and Jack Pete. They played for us, but everyday we gave each-other great looks from scout O/D.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
I would like to visit Highmark Stadium to watch the Bills.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
My favorite Pro Sports team is the Buffalo Bills because my favorite player is Josh Allen, so it works out that way.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
My favorite game I’ve ever watched was the Bills vs. 49ers last year in the snow. It is my favorite game because Josh Allen made insane plays that will most likely never be replicated.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
I could watch the movie Dodgeball nonstop because it’s just funny.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
I would love to be a 1000yd rusher and receiver playing from the flex position.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
I’d love to play golf.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
My most embarrassing sports moment is when I fell over a hurdle at the Redbank Invite when I was winning the race.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
I enjoy going out on the golf course with my friends and golfing 9.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Sheetz, because it has more options and the food is just better.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
My favorite vacation destination is Ocean City, Maryland.

If you were handed a lot of money, what would be the first thing you would do with it ?
I would buy my parents whatever they wanted, and then I would get myself a customized set of golf clubs.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
I have a fear of regret.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
5 Guys is the best fast food restaurant by a mile. The burgers and fries there are elite, the only thing that holds it back is the price.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
I’ve been to Pirates and Steelers games, as well as a few Pitt games.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
The NFL is the best league because of the way it’s structured and the nature of the sport. The MLB and NBA are boring to watch because there is no cap space limit for teams, so it’s just the same teams dominating every year.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
I don’t play video games that much anymore, but maybe COD.

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
The toppings I choose are Pepperoni and Sausage.

I would travel to Oregon or Colorado by airplane.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
I would like to become a Nurse Anesthesiologist.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
Living in the city would be nice because there is more competition and opportunity to improve yourself.
