Coach Says: Aiden Patton is 6’3 200lbs. He has led our team the last two years at the quarterback position and is poised to have a dominant senior season. Aidens arm pops off the screen when you watch film but what you dont see is his passion for the game. He is constantly looking to improve and find ways to better position our program and its culture as Elite.

Why do you play football?

I play football because everyone in my family has played football. I fell in love with it as a 5 year old kid watching the Steelers with the family.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Ben Roethlisberger is definitely my favorite because Big Ben and I play similar, and he’s been a person I’ve looked up to ever since I was a kid.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

In the district title game against Saint Mary’s there was around 8 minutes left. It’s 3rd down and we needed a big play to stretch our lead. We called a simple play I’ve known since I came up from the Jr High program, but we had a little wrinkle to it. We had Kyle Kennedy run a post. It worked out perfectly, and we scored on a 80 yard touchdown in the District title game. It was probably the best ball I’ve ever completed.

What was last years season like for you?

It was a really great season. We had a lot of competitive games that came down to the wire each week. We won back to back D9 titles which is really special to the program. It was the second time in school history that we have won back to back titles in football.

What are your goals for this coming season?

Just leaving everything out on the field because this is my last shot to play with my teammates that I’ve known all my life. Also to win another championship.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

The best player I’ve ever went up against is probably Jase Ferguson. He was the quarterback and safety at Central Clarion. He was just an overall great athlete.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

The perfect teammate is someone who does everything right without people noticing. They push their teammates on the field, weightroom, etc.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football brings a town together. Every Friday Night especially at Brockway the whole town is there to support us. It means a lot to us knowing that we have a whole town with 2,000 people at a football game.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Play defense again and get a pick six.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

My favorite practice drill is a cone pocket drill. So Coach Doan points any cone, and he can do multiple, and says forward and back or right and left. And then he says ball, so then I throw it to him or a receiver. That drill really helps with pocket movement and just setting your feet and gunning the ball as fast as you can. My least favorite drill is foot fire. So I have to stand on a yard line and my feet have to go back and forth really fast. You simulate a drop but you’re not moving. It burns your legs so bad

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My grandpa is definitely my biggest fan. Every game he’s always the first one at the gate trying to get in. It means a lot to me. He always wants to know what I did at football lifts, practices, or even camps.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Golfing with my friends is usually what I do other than football. Golf is just relaxing.

Best Pizza topping?

Pepperoni

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Sandbridge, VA is my favorite place to go. It was really relaxing and very quiet. There wasn’t a lot of people there and the food there was amazing.
