Coach Says: Madox is 6’4 240lb defensive end. He has 26 sacks in two seasons. He is long and explosive. He has the potential to take over a game on the defensive side of the ball. He is a great student and a phenomenal leader.


Why do you play football?

I love the challenge and being in Brockway makes it even more special because of the culture surrounding it.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

JJ Watt, he was feared by every offensive lineman

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My game against St Mary’s I recorded 5 sacks, I felt like every play was my best play.

What was last years season like for you?

It was difficult because of our rigorous schedule but I felt confident I’d say.

What are your goals for this coming season?

To have even more sacks than last year, and be the best leader I can be.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

My freshman year I had to block Misca Young, and he was very good. In practice, blocking Ja Wherry was also very difficult.

When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play? 

Mike Tomlin, since I’ve always been a Steelers fan.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Beaver Stadium, it’s always so loud and brings the energy.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Steelers

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

My favorite game I’ve been to was the Penn State white out game against Oregon.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Remember the Titans

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

It’s usually my mom yelling at me to motivate me to keep working harder.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Play tight end again.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My wrestling coach, Troy Braddock, he cares about all of his athletes and is willing to help us reach our goals.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Golf, it’s the same time as football.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

All the times I’ve been pancaked.

If you could only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be? 

An older, more colorful car. They’re pretty sweet.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Golfing, because I can do it with all my friends and it takes my mind off of everything.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Winning back to back district 9 championships.

What is your favorite play to run?

On offense I love running screens so I can go pancake a corner.

What scares you the most?

Sharks.

Music of choice:

I like all types of music, it depends on my mood.

What is the most food you ever ate in one sitting?

Our entire team once ate 1000 boneless wings.

What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?

Any pizza place, and I’ll get a large pizza for myself.

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Outerbanks, North Carolina

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

When I was really young I used to go to all the Brockway varsity games.
