Brookville 40, Central Clarion 14
Clarion-Limestone Stadium, Strattanville, PA
Friday, September 17

Brookville opened the scoring with a Charlie Krug pass to Brayden Kunselman for 40 yards and a TD. His first of two TD receptions on the night. A Tate Lindermuth touchdown run was followed by a lengthy injury timeout for a Central Clarion player. Once the players returned to the field and warmed up, Brookville was ready to roll.

A 30-yard TD run by Jackson Zimmerman on 4th and 2 made it 19-0. And Hunter Smith tallied a touchdown on a 4 yard interception return. A 2nd and 41 play by Central Clarion led to a rush of defenders breaking through to cause havoc and a quick through to a waiting Raider player. And to close the first half scoring for the visitors, was Noah Peterson with a 52 yard TD catch.

However, Central Clarion was not about to go quietly into that good night. Christian Simko would receive a 16 yard TD pass from Jase Fergeson, to give life to the home squad on homecoming night, 33-7 on the final play of the half.

In the second half, Kunselman would record his second touchdown reception, a 62 yard catch and run, to make it 40-7. But, the homestanding Wildcats weren’t going to give up that easily. In the 4th, Ashton Rex would receive a 33 yard pass and score the game’s final touchdown. The kick was good, giving Charlie Franchino a 2-for-2 record on the night. His counterpart for Brookville, Logan Oakes, would finish 4 of 6.
