You can’t call it an upset. The Wildcats have been destroying opponents all season long. Tonight they met a foe that is used to being in the playoffs contending for a state title. And on Friday night, the Wildcats finally took the next step.
Central Clarion quarterback Jase Ferguson threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more to lead his undefeated District 9 Wildcats (12-0) to a convincing 41-6 victory over District 10 Farrell in a 2A first round state playoff contest. Central Clarion advances to face Cambria Heights next week in the state tournament while Farrell finishes their 2024 campaign with a 7-6 record.
