DuBois used a potent running game and a solid defense, especially in the first half, to take down the visiting Baldwin Highlanders at EJ Mansell Stadium in Beavertown. Due to the inclement weather, not many fans braved the elements, but the faithful fans witnessed some old-fashioned hard-nosed football by the home team.
DuBois built a 35-0 lead by halftime, rushing for a total of 245 yards and five touchdowns. The Beaver ‘D’ limited the Highlanders to 41 yards on 25 offensive plays in the opening half of football.

DuBois scored touchdowns on their first five possessions and it started with London Duncan’s magnificent TD run of 75 yards on the initial Beaver play of the game. Two and a half minutes later Duncan scored his second touchdown on a 4-yard jaunt. The, about two and a half minutes after that, Dalton Reasinger scored from 4 yards out. DuBois led 21-0 after the first quarter.
But they weren’t done. Quarterback Seth Wilmoth punched in a score on his 6-yard QB keeper early in the second quarter. Then Michael Briggs tallied a touchdown with an 8-yard run with a little over four minutes left in the half. That put DuBois up 35-0 and initiated the running clock for the second half of action.

DuBois received the second half kickoff and the second team offense had the ball for 16 plays and over eleven minutes before Maddox Barnes kicked a 27-yard field goal to make the score 38 -0 DuBois. Barnes also nailed all five of his extra point attempts.
Baldwin scored the only points in the fourth quarter when quarterback Sadiq Anderson connected with Da’Mare Henry for a 22-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion attempt failed, making the final score DuBois 38 and Baldwin 6.

London Duncan led the DuBois offense with 130 yards on only 6 carries. Michael Briggs had 85 yards on 10 totes. The DuBois defense held Baldwin to 119 yards for the game, sacked the Highlander quarterback twice, intercepted two passes, and blocked a punt and a field goal try. Carter Blasco had a pick six for the Beavers but it was negated due to a hold on the return. Brady Glass had the other interception for DuBois.
Baldwin was led by their QB Sadiq Anderson who threw for 79 yards and a touchdown. He was their leading rusher too with 16 yards.
DuBois upped their season record to 5-3 making them playoff eligible. The beavers will visit nearby Brookville next week. Brookville has been struggling a bit and comes in with a 1-7 mark.
Baldwin dropped to 1-6 for the year and heads to Morgantown, WV next week to play the always tough Morgantown Mohigans who are 6-1 on the year.
