Freedom and Liberty met on Saturday afternoon in the annual cross-town matchup. Liberty started the game with a bang completing a long pass on the first play from scrimmage that went 68 yards for an early score. This wouldn’t discourage Freedom as they rattled off 35 straight points to take a commanding lead. One of the stories of the day was Liberty’s seemingly countless INTs thrown. Many of which would lead to Freedom scores. By the time the first half ended, Freedom had firm control of the game and never looked back. Despite a few impressive scores from the Canes in the second half, it never threatened to get close. Freedom will look to keep it rolling in next week’s playoffs as they await the announcement of their matchup.
