Friars thump defending 6A champs at the beach

The La Salle College High School Explorers went up against The Malvern Prep Friar in Ocean City New Jersey. Malvern Prep took down the defending 6A champs 21-0.

After La salle lost many of there star senior players from that title team, we have seen some struggles in the past couple games.

In the first quarter of the game we saw Julius Riddick make a 1-yard rushing TD by Malvern prep with 4:19 left in the game. Making Malvern take the lead by 7-0

In the second quarter we saw Malvern player Julius Riddick again make a 3-yard rushing TD. This score came after Will Simmons intercepted La Salle QB Luke Gordon.

In the end Malvern went into Halftime leading by 14-0

By the time halftime was over La Salle knew they had to put in the work, and it showed with no TD made by Malvern nor La Salle. Even with no TD’s made by both teams Malverns defense continued to take control, showing they can’t be stopped.

Jack Schuster intercepted Gordon at Malverns 7- yard line, ending an opportunity for La Salle to score.

The final quarter the game was heated with Malvern leading by 14-0. Jack Schuster (Malvern) 42-yard receiving a TD from Brayden Fallon.

Finishing a victory for Malvern prep
