In a six-man game that may have been the first overall game in Texas this season, kicking off at 6pm, there was a lot of back-and-forth. After the homestanding Hornets scored, Valley ran off three straight touchdowns. Deep turnovers were costly, including an interception in the endzone by Valley. A 21-6 lead turned into a 26-21 deficit for the visitors, who then ran off four straight touchdowns to take a commanding 51-26 lead. Though Aspermont was not done just yet, scoring a late 4th quarter TD to set the final scoreline, 51-34.

This game was originally scheduled to be a part of the Jayton Kickoff Classic, which was cancelled earlier this month. Though the game was moved to Aspermont, the Thursday 6pm kickoff was still planned.
