Saturday Night started well for the homestanding Warriors. Salamanca jumped out to a 14-0 lead after taking a 30-minute break due to a lightning strike reported in the area. Up 20-8, though, saw the tides turn as Randolph mounted a comeback. Running Back Xander Hind was the workhorse for the visitors. Scoring three touchdowns and three conversions. Also getting a pick. This started the snowball rolling as the first score of the second half accumulated more and more points as Salamanca struggled to move the ball consistently. Seeing their slim 20-15 halftime lead turn into a 39-20 deficit just twelve minutes later. The fourth would be scoreless. Though Randolph had a chance late to extend their lead lost to a fumble into the endzone. Randolph wins, 39-20.
The Cardinals host CSP Wolfpack in battle of 1-0 teams next Friday. Salamanca travels to Cleveland Hill next Saturday afternoon.
