Lake-Lehman Scores 29 Unanswered to defeat Hanover Area 35-24 (Video Highlights)

The Lake-Lehman Black Knights scored 29 unanswered en route to a 35-24 victory over Hanover Area. Hanover Area held a 24-6 lead with 1:39 to go till halftime. But the Black Knights offense rolled through the second half. Dylan Heinrich scored two touchdowns in tonight’s game for Lake-Lehman. The Hawkeyes got things started early as Dewayne Downey found the endzone with 8:06 left in the first quarter to make it 6-0. Downey scored three touchdowns, while Angel Tejada had the other touchdown on a 74 yard pass. After the Tejada touchdown, Lake-Lehman rolled. Running a Wing-T, Lake-Lehman was figured out offensively by the Hawkeyes. The Black Knights switched to the pass game and got quarterback Jesse Strenfel throwing the ball more. Lehman would get within four with 9:21 left in the third quarter as Strenfel hit Cordyn Harris for a 20 yard touchdown. After a solid punt return the Black Knights had the ball at the Hanover five. This was when Damon Bond ran in the touchdown and the two-point conversion to put the Black Knights ahead 28-24 with 1:26 left in the third quarter. Hanover was held scoreless in the second half and Harris would score again with 5:27 to go. Lake-Lehman improves to 2-3 and will face Nanticoke next week. Hanover Area falls to 0-5 and will look to get their first win over Berwick next Friday
