Late Touchdown Leads Warriors to 13-10 Win over East Stroudsburg South (Video Highlights)

A thriller in Milford as the Delaware Valley Warriors come back and win over East Stroudsburg South 13-10. After trailing 10-0 at halftime the Warriors put up 13 in the second half. Devin Estevez ran in the game winning score from a yard out with 20 seconds to go. East Stroudsburg South took a 3-0 lead after a scoreless first quarter as Mamadou Ndiaye kicked a field goal with 8:43 left till halftime. Cavaliers quarterback Greyson Fuller threw a pass into traffic which bobbled around but eventually landed in the hands of Orion Tucker. This gave South the 10-0 lead at halftime as both teams struggled at times to run the ball. Come the second half, Delaware Valley got on the board with 7:42 left in the third quarter as Lucas Petersheim found Jacob Wolak for an 11 yard touchdown to make it 10-7. After many back and forth stalled drives from both the Cavaliers and Warriors, Delaware Valley drove down all the way to the one yard line as time was expiring. That’s when Estevez found the endzone to put the Warriors ahead. With 20 seconds to go, the Cavaliers had one more shot on offense. Dylan Bannon picked off Fuller on the first play of the drive to seal the victory for Delaware Valley. Estevez was a big factor for Delaware Valley as he had alot of big runs. Head Coach Keith Olsommer said that alot of his players up front are very inexperienced and young. As the game went on, Olsommer and his staff simplified their game plan and he said those inexperienced players really came around as the Cavaliers threw alot of pressure up front on defense. Delaware Valley improves to 1-2 and will host Scranton Prep next Saturday at 4pm for their annual homecoming Warrior Day game. East Stroudsburg South falls to 1-2 and will start league play next Friday as they host Allentown Central Catholic.
