The Monmouth Regional Falcons make school history after a 5-0 win over Brick Township. The Falcons are 6-0 for the first time in school history and are on pace to make even more history. Coming into this game, both teams had different dynamics. The Falcons came in with an explosive passing offense, while the Green Dragons run the ball heavy. Brick Township was able to contain Monmouth quarterback Ryan Corwin as he came into this game with an impressive statline. Monmouth held the Green Dragons Wing T offense to zero points. Both teams offensively couldn’t do much as they both didn’t get across midfield all game. Sal Bruno hit a field goal in the first quarter to make it 3-0 after Brick Township held the Falcons to a 4th and 5 . Both teams defensively stopped each other’s strengths and tne only other points came in the third quarter. Brick Township was pinned deep at their own two yard line after a great special teams effort by Monmouth Regional. The Falcons defense got to quarterback Gavin Delgado and sacked him in the endzone for a safety. This would make it 5-0 and no other scoring would happen throughout the entire game. Monmouth Regional improves to 6-0 and will travel to Barnegat next Friday. Brick Township falls to 3-3 on the season and will look to bounce back against Toms River East on the road
