Michael returns to the Fords as a multi-year starter who will be a huge part of the team’s success in 2023. Head Coach Brian Martin states that “Mike is a quiet leader with a tremendous motor. He’s always looking for ways to improve as a player & how his teammates can be at their best. He loves watching film, studying his opponents & welcomes challenges. He’s a great kid on and off the field and someone the team looks to for leadership”.

Why do you play football?

I play football in honor of my father. Football has become a part of my life.

What’s your current GPA? 

My current GPA is 3.7

What schools have offered or expressed interest in you?

I have talked with most of the Ivy League schools, Monmouth, Holy Cross & Navy.

What do you plan to major in?

I plan to major in business & minor in criminal justice.

Favorite athlete of all time & why?

My favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant, his dedication to the game stands out to me.

Favorite moment of your HS career thus far? 

Going undefeated & winning the league championship.

What was the 2022 season like for you?

The 2022 season was great for me. I was able to understand the game and play faster.

2023 individual & team goals?

I want to win a championship again and leave my mark in Haverford football history.

All-time favorite football game to watch (College/Pros or HS)?

LSU v Texas A&M 2018 game.

Favorite meal? 

My favorite meal is fried chicken, mac & cheese & yams. I love soul food.

Favorite play to run & why?

My favorite play this year was one of our zone blitzes. My favorite formation was Navy. It allowed us to get pressure and I wouldn’t get double teamed.

Hobbies outside of sports? 

I like to splay sports & go out with my friends.

What scares you the most?

Failing

Most inspirational person in your life? 

My mother

What pregame music do you listen to as you prepare for games?

Est Gee, Lil Durk, & Meek Mill.

why? My best teammate has to be Billy Brosko, he always challenges me to get better.

Did you play little league football and if so for what organization?

I played for the Mount Airy Bantoms, Enon Eagles & North Philly Blackhawks.

What is something people should know about The Haverford School?

Everybody works hard day in and day out.

Cheesesteak & D’Alessandro’s has the best cheesesteak.
