The Calvert Senecas hosted Hopewell-Loudon on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon to close out the truncated OHSAA six-game regular season.  Hopewell-Loudon started the scoring with a 27-yard TD pass. In the second quarter, Calvert threatened, before settling for a 23 yard field goal. The rest of the first half was all Hopewell-Loudon as they reeled off three straight touchdowns. A 2 yard run followed by two passes of 60 and 53 yards. The third quarter saw the running clock start, with a 5 yard TD run. The Calvert Senecas finally found the endzone, late in the game to rescind the running clock. A 29 yard TD pass to the far left sideline made it 35-10. Hopewell-Loudon, with the victory, would secure the River Division of the Sandusky Bay Conference. The OHSAA’s expanded playoffs start next weekend.
