Saturday afternoon I made another trip with Sykotyk to Panama, New York to catch the CSP wolfpack battle a very strong Portville squad. As always I want to thank Coach Harper for taking the tie to speak to us after the game even though he suffered the tough loss and to the guys in the pressbox for supplying me with the rosters.

Tate Catanese the Sophomore quarterback for the Wolfpack would find fellow Sophomore Bryce Hinsdale for a 15-yard gain. Once Catanese believes how good he is the kid is going to turn a lot of eyes in Western New York. Lucious Young would counter the long gain when he teamed up with Nik Manroe to sack Catanese for a 10-yard loss. Luke Haberly made a nice play for the Panthers when he got to a CSP receiver for a loss of 10-yards. The teams would enter the second quarter locked up at zero.

The Wolfpack had the ball at their own 3-yard line with 11:44 left in the half when Trent Burchanowski tackled in the endzone for a safety giving the Panthers the 2-0 lead. Burchanowski earlier in the game had coughed up the ball during what would have been a nice punt return. The senior seemed to keep his head up and play hard the rest of the game with some nice results.

Drew Langdon forced into the starting QB slot because of an injury would find Bryce Findlay for a big 17-yard gain, with 10:30 left in the half. Findlay would be hit for a short loss on a nice play by Drake DiDomenico at the 8:43 mark of the quarter as the defensive slugfest continued. A little offense would lead the last 5:00 minutes of the half starting with a 10-yard rece[tion by Aidan DeFazio a nice looking Freshman for the Panthers. Another reception for the Panthers, this one an 8-yard catch by Kaedon Holcomb, then for the Wolfpack Burchanowskiwent at the heart of the Panthers defense for a 14-yard run.

The third quarter got started with Langdon finding Keim for a 33-yard completion. Holcomb would put the ball on the grass and making the fumble recovery for CSP was Lucas Lisciandro. Burchanowski was hit as soon as he got the ball on fourth and one for a short loss by Keim, with 9:35 left on the clock. As the quarter continued Brayden Hayes would pull in a pass and gain 33-yards to keep things going for the Wolfpack. Hinsdale grabbed a pass gaining 12-yards. A sack by Keim thwarted any more damage by the Wolfpack and put Uncle Mo. back on the visitors side. Trent Burchanowski would make the next big defensive play when he stopped Cole Keesler on a reverse for a 4-yard loss. Langdon would calmly let go of a pretty throw landing in the hands of Keim for a huge gain of 37-yards, with 2:15 left in the back and forth quarter. Keim would break a tackle using some power coupled with a nice move to go 11-yards for the first contest of the game, with 46.3 seconds remaining on the clock. The point after kick by Bryan Randolph out of the hold of Ethan Obergfell made this a 9-0 contest. Tate Catanese would cough the ball up and making the recovery for the Panthers was Kyran Johnson.

Hayes used his feet after making the catch and picked up 49-yards to get a loud eru[tion from the large CSP crowd, with 9:55 left in the game. The young CSP offensive line gave up another sack with 8:29 left making the sack was Hayden Emley causing a loss of eight. After a much-needed 40-yard run from Burchanowski, the Panthers defense got another sack from Haberly. CSP would get their only points in this one when Hinsdale nailed a 34-yard field goal with 2:25 showing on the clock. The Panthers recovered the ensuing onside kick to secure the 9-3 when
