During today’s PIAA board meeting, Executive Director Dr. Robert Lombardi said the “PIAA will stay with the status quo for fall sports and the plan is to move forward to begin heat acclimation on Aug. 10 with practices starting Aug. 17. It was the consensus of the (strategic planning) committee to stay the course. Should there need to be adjustments based on schools decided not to play, the PIAA could alter schedules, shorten seasons, or reduce the number of state tournament qualifiers to adjust to that, we will stay the course for now and get started Aug. 10”
