Temple awarded seven single-digit jersey numbers Thursday evening via their Instagram and X accounts.
Players voted on seven players: Colin Chase, Dante Atton, Eric Stuart, Sam Brown, Grayson Mains, Saboor Karriem, and Peter Clarke to wear single digits, an honor that began in 2009 under head coach Al Golden.
The numbers, which have not been specifically assigned yet, are voted on by the team’s entire roster and awarded to the members of the program who are the “toughest on and off the field, embodying what it means to be Temple TUFF.”
Chase and Atton are the Owls’ only two returning single-digit wearers from last season, and both retained the honor, while Clarke, Stuart, and Mains all enter 2026 after spending the previous season with the Owls.
Karriem (Illinois) and Brown (Rutgers) both transferred into the program this offseason and have taken leadership roles on the defense and offense, respectively.
Specific numbers will likely be announced in the coming days, though it need not be said that the honor of being named a single-digit wearer by a panel of peers is much bigger than any actual number.
