Before I get into the contest I wanted to thank the coaches from Huntington who got me in the press box, fed me and hydrated me, and made sure I had a current copy of the rosters.

Bryce Wickline got things started for the Mustangs with a 13-yard quarterback run. Wickline would be sacked by Dakota Johnson for a loss of two seconds after his big run. Wickline shook the sack by running to his right breaking upfield and going untouched for the 33-yard score to make this a 6-0 game with 8;55 left in the quarter.

Wickline made his presence known on defense when he got to DJ Cocker for a short loss. After shutting the Huntsmen offense down Westfall went to work on a 9-play 85-yard drive that ended on a 46-yard touchdown run by Joey Wright, which was followed by a two-point conversion run from Wickline to make this a 14-0 game with 2:26 left in the quarter.

Hunting would respond with a scoring drive of their own with Crocker plunging in from a yard out. He set the score up with a 4-yard run that set up the score to make this a 14-6 game with 8:47 left in the half. The Mustangs needed just 0:39 seconds to answer the score with Wickline finding Trent Walters for a 15-yard touchdown to make this a 21-6 game as Carson Deskins connected on the point after kick.

The Mustangs were back at it with 5;20 left in the half when Wickline hit Jaden Towler for 15 yards. The same combo struck again for a 73-yard touchdown 0:15 seconds later to make this a 27-6 game. Mason Wright would pick off Noah Potter on the ensuing Huntsman drive. Cassell Bowen would sack Wickline at the 2:45 mark. The Mustangs came close to scoring again before the half ended when Wickline hit Brydan Gall for 15 yards and then he hit Walters for 35 yards.

A 29-yard run from Wright helped set up a 15-yard touchdown run by Wickline to make this a 34-6 game. Wickline would hit a wide-opened Avry Justus for a 7-yard score to make this a 41-6 game with 1:01 left in the third.

The Huntsmen would show no quit and this showed big time when Potter hit Potter for 15-yards. The 7-play 68-yard drive would end when Crocked scampered in from four yards, then he converted the two-point run to give us the final score 41-4. The Huntsmen did have the ball late in the game and Frankie Hirch was able to hit Potter for 45-yards but that was the last big play of the game
