On Friday night, Ursuline and Cardinal Mooney renewed their rivalry at Stambaugh Stadium in Youngstown. Ursuline entered the game at 8-1, and after a sluggish start on their first drive, found the endzone on a DC Farrell 75 yard touchdown run on third and 1. But were unable to convert the point after. Ursuline did add a field goal in the first quarter to go up, 9-0 over their rivals.
In the second quarter, Farrell found Ray Javey open in the endzone for a diving catch from 22 yards out to go up 16-0. After halftime, Farrell found the endzone on a 13 yard run, just 2:30 into the second half. Giving Ursuline a comfortable, 23-0 lead.
Devonte Taylor added the final score of the game early in the fourth. A 21 yard catch up the middle started the running clock rules. After threatening a touchdown late in the game, Ursuline picked off a Cardinal Mooney pass and returned it past midfield. Securing the shutout and the 30-0 victory.
