A battle between fellow winless teams in the season finale, the Wahpeton Huskies and Fargo South Bruins vied for their first and only wins of the season. Under an intense wind that lasted all game, the two teams struggled to throw the ball. But Wahpeton’s run game was all the offense they needed. Led by Jack Gilbertson, the Huskies found the endzone four times on the ground. Adding two more on short passes.

What had started as a tightly contested game came unraveled later in the second quarter, as Wahpeton scored two touchdowns to have a comfortable 20-6 lead. With Fargo South’a passing game hindered by the wind, the Bruins couldn’t mount an effective comeback. Wahpeton closed their season as 43-12 winners and a small high note going into the 2027 season.
