Parkland Shuts Out Northampton 35-0 Behind Tycen Norman’s 4 TD Night

In the first quarter, Parkland and Northampton were locked in a 0-0 stalemate that seemed to be a battle between 2 strong defenses. However, it would be Trojans backup RB Tycen Norman that would be the player of the game, as his 4 TD performance propelled Parkland to a 35-0 victory.

Northampton won the toss and elected to receive. They started on their own 25 and would run with their star RB, Chase Kessler all the way down to the Parkland 31, where the drive stalled and resulted in a turnover on downs on 4th and 7.

Parkland took over from that spot, where they would gain a 1st down before having to punt from the Northampton 45.

Northampton started on their own 24 and would gain a 1st down before a bad snap forced them to punt from their own 29.

Parkland took over at the 50, and a 4 yard run ended the 1st quarter scoreless. They would start with a few TJ Lawrence runs before he left the game with an injury. However, Tycen Norman would get his opportunity and run with it, as his 2 yard TD run put Parkland up 7-0 at the 10:38 mark of the 2nd quarter.

Northampton started their next possession at their 25 and went 3 and out.

Parkland took over on their own 37 after the punt and QB Finn Coen would hit 4 different receivers on the drive, which would conclude with a 3 yard TD run from Norman, his 2nd of the night, to put the Trojans up 14-0 with 4:36 left in the half.

Northampton started their next possession on their own 20 and went 3 and out.

Parkland took over at the Northampton 45 and 5 plays later, Norman got the hat trick, with his 3rd TD of the night, from 4 yards out, giving Parkland a 21-0 lead with 1:48 left in the half.

Northampton started on their own 23 and would go 3 and out.

Parkland took over on the Northampton 16 after a punt return and Finn Coen found Jackson Geroulo for the 1 yard TD on a fake handoff, putting Parkland up 28-0 with only 6.6 seconds left in the half.

Northampton took over on their own 25 and a short Chase Kessler run would take the teams to half, with the Trojans up 28-0.

Parkland received the 2nd half kickoff and started on their own 38. The drive would feature the player of the night once again, as Tycen Norman finished it with an 8 yard TD run, his 4th of the night, at the 8:51 mark of the 3rd to put Parkland up 35-0

The 2 teams would trade punts, then both turn the ball over on downs. Northampton would punt and Parkland would take a knee to end the game with a 35-0 victory.
