Parkland Trojans Take on Northampton Konkrete Kids in the Battle of 3-1 Teams

The Parkland Trojans and Northampton Konkrete Kids will battle it out Friday at 7 PM at Al Erdosy Stadium in Northampton, PA to fight for District 11 supremacy. Both teams are 3-1 and had different paths of getting to that point. The K-Kids had 2 close wins and a blowout, while Parkland had 3 blowouts and a narrow loss to Phillipsburg opening week. Last year’s game at Parkland was a competitive affair, with the Trojan pulling away late 38-27, while this year’s game figure’s to pack fireworks as well.

The Parkland Trojans have retained most of their team from last year, with QB Finn Coen, WR Blake Nassry, and RB TJ Lawrence all back on offense. Coen has 52 completions for 485 yards and 4 TDs on the year, while Lawrence has 52 carries for 528 yards and 8 TDs. Nassry has 11 catches for 268 yards and 4 TDs to round out an explosive offense that not many teams can keep pace with. The Trojans just picked up Coach Moncman’s 200th career win in a 35-0 rout of Stroudsburg at home, where TJ Lawrence had a 72 yard TD run and a 65 yard punt return TD.

The Northampton Konkrete Kids carry a new identity this season than the team that last faced Parkland early on in 2025. Zion McKinney enters his 5th start as QB, replacing longtime starter Gavin Taff. The WR core was overhauled with Evan Kleppinger and Colby Brearman replacing Cam Hersch. The one thing that remained constant with Northampton is their star RB Chase Kessler who has 92 carries for 615 yards and 8 TDs on the year. Northampton is coming off a close 13-12 road win against Liberty, where Kessler had 139 yards on 32 carries and a TD.

This game has the makings for a competitive one between a stingy K-Kids team and a high flying Trojans offense, and will feature two of the best RBs in District 11. I expect it to be a run heavy affair between Kessler and Lawrence that will come down to whatever RB can make more plays. Tune in to find out who takes home the win on Friday Night.
