Hickory 63, Conneaut 6

Hickory led 49-0 at halftime and cruised past Conneaut Thursday night to remain unbeaten. Zander Telesz accounted for 222 yards of total offense, completing 7-of-10 passes for 196 yards with a pair of touchdown tosses to Jadon Phillips, who finished the night with three receptions for 123 yards. Telesz also rushed for 26 yards and a touchdown. Kelvin Morrison rushed for 92 yards on six carries, while Jamal Calhoun added 34 yards on four rushes. Both scored a pair of touchdowns. Ben Easler completed 4-of-14 passes for 48 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown to Wyatt Luke for the Eagles’ lone score in the fourth quarter.

General McLane 35, Oil City 14

Isaac Zietz completed 11-of-13 passes for 311 yards and four touchdowns, while his twin brother Jacob caught six passes for 209 yards and two scores.

Sharon 42, Slippery Rock 0

Sharon won their 700th game in program history with a 42-0 shutout of Slippery Rock. Ethan Englemore threw a pair of touchdowns to Bryson Roberson in the opening quarter, covering 10 and 11 yards. Ike Friday scored two rushing touchdowns of seven and 13 yards, while Kare’mez Norris took a punt back 71 yards. AnNayvon Brown also scored on a 13-yard run. Sharon led 35-0 at halftime. Friday rushed for 91 yards, and Englemore passed for 108.

Titusville 36, Grove City 7

Jaxon Covell rushed for 268 yards and four touchdowns to lead Titusville to a 36-7 victory over Grove City. Covell scored on runs of four, 72, 17, and 34 yards. The Rockets led 29-7 at halftime. Ian McDonald added a 1-yard run and rushed for 40 yards. Grove City scored on Clayton Martin’s 11-yard pass from Drake Moore in the second quarter. Jonah Stucchio led the Eagles with 88 yards on 15 carries.

Fairview 31, Girard 20

Vincent Campoli accounted for a pair of touchdowns to lead Fairview over Girard. Campoli tossed a 26-yard touchdown to Robert Benford. Campoli would later add an 8-yard run, giving the Tigers a 31-14 lead in the third quarter. Fairview led 21-0 in the second quarter, as Bendord scored on an 18-yard run followed by Joey O’Reilly’s 5-yard run. Benford rushed for 120 yards, while Campoli completed 8-of-10 passes for 89 yards and ran for 77 yards. Dan Lindenberger also booted a 24-yard field goal for the Tigers. Ryan St. Julien threw touchdowns of 30 yards to Tyler Mayes and 28 yards to Carson Stevens. Stevens also scored on a 1-yard run for the Yellowjackets.

Seneca 40, Union City 0

Zach Moats rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries to lead Seneca past Union City. Rylan Harwood added a pair of rushing scores and 87 yards on 13 carries. Edan Lucas ran 54 yards and a touchdown for the Bobcats. Union City was led by the 24 rushing yards of Austin Brown.

Eisenhower 7, Iroquois 0

Caleb Jakubczak’s touchdown run with 5:14 to play proved to be the lone score as Eisenhower edged Iroquois 7-0. Jakubczak rushed for 108 yards on 11 carries. Logan Penley added 86 yards on 23 totes. Cole Bennett led the Braves with 111 passing yards.

Harbor Creek 49, North East 10

Harbor Creek built a 21-0 lead after a quarter and never looked back as Huskies rolled past North East 49-10. Cam Herman scored twice in the opening quarter on a 39-yard pass from Heath Betza, returning a punt 55 yards for a touchdown. Thomas Gunther also returned a fumble 24 yards for the Huskies. Herman scored his third touchdown of the night on a 61-yard pass from Betz in the second stanza. Gavin Zillman and Tyshawn Jones scored on runs of four and 24 yards, respectively, as Harbor Creek led 42-3 at halftime. Jones added a 15-yard run in the fourth quarter. North East’s scores came on Ethen Ringer’s 19-yard run and Joel Morey’s 24-yard field goal.

Fort LeBoeuf 19, Corry 13

Trailing 19-13 with 1:42 to play, Lucas Baker connected with Keaton Frisina to the Bison 1-yard line. The Fort LeBoeuf defense then stood tall and stopped Corry on the three remaining plays from the 1-yard line following a spike on first down. Corry’s standout quarterback, Nolan Carey, was injured with nine minutes to play and didn’t return to the game. The Bison took a 16-7 lead in the second quarter when Dominica Walters scored on a 34-yard pass from Hunter Villa, and Damian Blose added a 9-yard. Corey scored when Carey threw a 19-yard pass to Marcus Meredith, while Nick Lesher scored on a 4-yard run for the Beavers.

Saegertown 31, Lakeview 29

Elliot McWright kicked a 32-yard field goal at the horn to give Saegertown a 32-29 victory over Lakeview. Wyatt Burchill ran for 123 yards, Reese Wilkinson added 113 on the ground, and Aaron Shartle chipped in with 80 yards. Shartle scored twice, while Burchill and Wilkinson each found the end zone once. Brayden Booher rushed for 101 yards and a pair of scores for Lakeview. Blake Skiles ran for 150 yards on ten carries with a touchdown.

Maplewood 27, Cochranton 16

Kyle Jordan threw for 118 yards and ran for 64, accounting for three total touchdowns to lead Maplewood over Cochranton. Andrew Proper added 181 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Tigers. Proper and Derek Shaw had the receiving touchdowns for Maplewood. Walker Carroll threw for 119 yards for the Cardinals and ran for 96. Carroll scored on a 4-yard and tossed a 10-yard touchdown to Gabe Carter.

Reynolds 32, Mercer 31

Gerardo Hernandez’s extra point in the third overtime gave Reynolds a wild 32-31 victory over Mercer. Rider Chiappini’s 5-yard run gave Mercer a 31-25 lead, but the 2-point conversion failed. Gabe Minajrez then scored the winning touchdown with a 5-yard run of his own. The game was tied 19-19 at the end of regulation. Chiappini was stopped at the 1-yard line on 4th down in the first overtime before Hernandez missed a 27-yard field goal. Xavier Zachrich then threw a 9-yard touchdown to Parker Ney before Chiappini scored in the second overtime. Both extra points failed.

Wilmington 21, Northern Bedford 19

Wilmington snapped Northern Bedford’s28-game regular season winning streak with a 21-19 victory over the Panthers. The Greyhounds jumped out to a 14-0 lead when Wesley Vass-Gal threw a 9-yard touchdown to Rowan Miller, followed by Cael Kettering’s4-yard run. Vaughn Schleinkofer scored on a 1-yard run for Northern Bedford before finding Aaron Bowers for a 64-yard touchdown, pulling the Panthers to within 14-13. Kettering returned the ensuing kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown. Northern Bedford made the contest close with a touchdown. With the score 21-19 in the fourth quarter. The Panthers missed a 44-yard field goal with 1.7 seconds left for the win.

Butler 35, Meadville 11

Mark Klemz rushed for 179 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Butler to a 35-11 victory to spoiled Meadville’s home opener. The Golden Tornado led 28-3 at halftime and 35-5 in the fourth quarter before AJ Feleppa threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Amari Grenaway for the Bulldogs only touchdown. Gernaway also rushed for 38 yards. Jordan Lawrence gained 63 yards on 12 carries to lead Meadville. Butler also got a pair of touchdown passes from Alec Teff. Teff connected with Jacob Kollinger from 13 yards and Preston Simko on a 70-yard score. Butler also had an 85-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Mentor 50, McDowell 14

Mentor improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2019 with a 50-14 pasting of McDowell Friday night. The Cardinals led 29-0 after a quarter and 43-7 by halftime. Scotty Fox completed 8-of-13 passes for 232 yards and four touchdowns. Jackson Farley rushed for 126 yards on only seven carries with two touchdowns.

Cathedral Prep 16, Riverside 14

Cam Christman’s fourth-quarter field goal gave Cathedral Prep a thrilling 16-14 victory over Riverside (OH) Friday night. The Ramblers were trailing 14-13 before Corey Allen returned an interception 89 yards to the Beavers 5-yard line. Cathedral Prep scored first with Charbel Latouf’s 3-yard run in the first quarter. Corey Allen also ran a reverse 89 yards for a touchdown, putting Prep ahead at 13-7. Bo Brandehoff’s 54-yard touchdown to Ethan Baker on the first final play gave Riverside the 14-13 lead.

Ursuline 27, Farrell 0

Farrell has lost three games in a row for the first time since 2013. Ursuline was well in control in a game that ended early in the second quarter due to lightning. The Irish scored a pair of defensive touchdowns when John Frangos returned a fumble 28 yards, and Ethan Sandusky recovered a fumble in the end zone. Joe Balog and Vinnie Fecko each scored on 9-yard touchdown runs.

Sharpsville 1, Kennedy Catholic 0

Sharpsville earned a forfeit victory over Kennedy Catholic due to low numbers with the Golden Eagles.

Mercyhurst Prep 28, Northwestern 7

Vinnie Feliciano rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns to give Mercyhurst Prep their first win of 2024.

Franklin 40, Warren 18

Caiden Mincer rushed for 240 yards and four touchdowns as Franklin knocked off Warren to get into the win column for the first time this season. Mincer had four, five, 31, and 50-yard touchdown runs. Ayden Corbett led the Dragons with 152 yards and a touchdown on 14 rushes.

Greenville 17, Cambridge Springs 0

Keith Covert returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown, and the Trojans never looked back.

Lake Catholic 37, Erie 0

Lake Catholic got four combined touchdowns from Jimmy Gibbons and Frankie Trinetti to shut out Erie High 37-0 Saturday night. The Cougars led 21-0 at halftime, putting the mercy clock into effect in the second half. Trinetti threw touchdown passes to Ace Peterlin and Cross Nimmo. Gibbons scored on runs of two and 64 yards. Lake Catholic also got a rushing touchdown from DJ Sears.
