Abington Heights at ‘The Pit’ on Saturday afternoon stunned Delaware Valley 20-14 to win the District 2 5A Title. Delaware Valley up to this point had won 8 straight District 2 titles in both the 6A and 5A classes. On offense, Abington Heights was led by Shawn Theodore as he had to step in and play quarterback in the 2nd half due to an injury. On the defensive side on the ball Cayd Sespico had a monster game and stopped Delaware Valley on 3rd and 4th down to basically seal the win for the Comets with 1:50 left. Abington Heights will play Holidaysburg out of District 6 for the first round of state playoffs.
