Aliquippa Handles Mars with a 47-24 Victory

The number one-seeded Aliquippa Quips took care of business over Mars this Friday night with a 47-24 final score.
The Mars Fightin Planets received the opening kickoff and capped it off with a 65-yard drive, and a one-yard rushing touchdown from running back Evan Wright.

Aliquippa answered right back with an 83-yard kick return from Arison Walker for a Quips touchdown. The extra point later went to be blocked by Mars to hold their lead.
Mars went on to punt, and Aliquippa took over at their own 31 yard-line. With a long run from John Tracy the drive was finished with a pass from Quentin Goode to Pittsburgh Panther commit Cameron Lindsey for a touchdown. The two-point conversion would be no good.

Aliquippa took over and made a quick drive out of it with a 74-yard run from Tiqwai Hayes to extend the Quips’ lead to 18-7.
Another punt from Mars led to a 78-yard pass from Quentin Goode to John Tracy after breaking multiple tackles to the end zone for another score. The two-point conversion was a success, making the score 26-7.

Later, the Fightin Planets punt with another three and out. That later led to a five-yard touchdown run for Cameron Lindsey, and the two-point conversion would be successful making it 34-7 at the half.
After the half, Mars kicked off to the Quips attempting an onside kick. Quips recovered and later scored on a 47-yard rushing touchdown from Tiqwai Hayes to make it 40-7, after the unsuccessful two-point conversion.
After a slight delay due to rain Aliquippa would get the ball back via another Mars punt and extend the lead to 47-7.
Mars continued their next drive and capped it off with a field goal. To make it 47-10 Aliquippa.
After a Mars interception of Aliquippa, they would drive down and make it a 48-17 game after a 41-yard passing touchdown from QB Luke Goodworth to Liam Hein, and the two-pointer was successful.
The final score would end up being an Aliquippa victory 47-24 despite the comeback effort of the Mars Fightin Planets.
