Archbishop Ryan Lineman chooses West Chester University

Nicholas Rogers a 6-5 240 DL at Archbishop Ryan has officially made his college decision and ultimately signed his letter of intent to play locally at West Chester University a division 2 program that competes in the PSAC. Nicholas finished his senior season earning all-league honors after posting 45 tackles, 16 TFLs, 6 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 3 passes batted down. Nicholas stated “WCU was my choice based on how close it is to home & how I already know past teammates at WCU along with the great connection with the coaching staff there”. He also mentioned “Shippensburg was the only other school that went into final consideration but Coach Grecco, Coach Swann & Coach Fet were the main coach that really helped me with my decision to commit to West Chester”. Nick plans to major in business management upon enrolling in college this summer. He wanted to give special thanks to a few people, in particular “I want to thank my parents for everything they have done for me on this journey & all the previous coaches that have gotten me to where I’m at today.”

Other PCL seniors who also signed were Archbishop Carroll DB Too Jemahwuo, Roman Catholic LB Luke Van Brill, Archbishop Wood OL Cole Evans and Neumann Goretti DL Roman Brown who all will join forces together at West Chester University.  Also attending WCU will be all public league defensive lineman Ali Barro who played at John Bartram HS.

Roman Catholic DB Mikey Preston has agreed to West Virginia University as a preferred walk-on while teammate RB Dazhaun Hopkins signed to attend and play at FCS Duquesne University, DB Devon Jackson is signed to attend PSAC Division 2 program Shippensburg University & Punter Danon Lorusso is headed to PSAC Division 2 program Bloomsburg University.

Father Judge WR Nymier Appling signed to attend Shippensburg University while St. Joes Prep DB Devon Willie signed his letter of intent to attend Indiana University of PA. Lansdale Catholic QB Cole Meehan signed his letter of intent to attend FCS Merrimack College which plays in the NEC.
