Brock Cornell Flips Commitment to Penn

IMPERIAL, PA – On Wednesday, Brock Cornell announced his commitment to the University of Pennsylvania. Cornell, a West Allegheny product, previously committed to Bucknell in July.

In 2023, Cornell was named first team all-conference following his impressive junior season. In 11 games, Cornell had over 1,000 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. Throughout his high school career, Cornell has eclipsed over 2,000 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, he has producer over 300 tackles and 6 interceptions.
So far in 2024, Cornell has put up 343 rushing yards and 1 TD. Cornell also leads West Allegheny in total tackles (23), rushing yards per game (114.3), and tackles per game (7.7).
Cornell had offers from Albany, Duquesne, Bucknell, Robert Morris, Lehigh, and Brown.
West Allegheny is 2-1 on the season, and will look ahead to undefeated Peters Township Friday night.
