The Buffaloes do score a lot of points, but one of the reasons isn’t quite all on the offense. Last night on a perfect night for football at Claysburg-Kimmel high school the Bedford County defense set the stage for a monster night forcing three fumbles early and getting two safeties as the Buffs smothered the Somerset C0unty Miners 84-13. Levi Cook continued his tear in the league taking part in five scores. Bryce McCleester also found the endzone several times as the Buffaloes move to 3-0 on the season.
Elsewhere the Williamsport Wildcats scored with about 50 seconds left to tie the game 35-35 against Mo-Valley. On the ensuing conversion, the QB fumbled the ball away, and the Vikings brought it back for the score and the win, 37-35. Thor Marlow: “We have really been looking forward to this game. The Wildcats bested us in the Conference Championship Game last year. They added a bunch of new pieces and we knew it was going to be a tough match up. We were down 14-12 at halftime but were able to come out on top right at the end of the game”.
Greg Medina 64 Yds Passing 2TDs, 82yds 2TDs rushing
Dane Bright had a Huge Kick return for a touchdown
Zach Hoy had 8 tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown
Late in the 4th quarter, under a minute, the Monroeville Titans scored and led 14-9. The Indiana Crusaders returned the kickoff to go up 15-14. On the last play of the game, the Titans threw up a hail mary and that was caught for the winning TD. Titans win 20-15.
And in yet another close game Dauphin County Comanche surge past the Berks Raptors in the second half to win 32-14.
