Downingtown – Despite the rainy conditions, and the late game spurt by Team Allison, Team Carroll took home the victory on Wednesday night at Kottmeyer Stadium.
Team Carroll dominated the first half, going into halftime up 14-0. The scoring was opened up in the first quarter by Conestoga’s QB Tim Bruder rushing in a one yard touchdown.
After a few three and outs from both squads, Team Carroll would add another touchdown and make history while doing so. Malvern Prep’s WR Luke Hardy, who was the games MVP, caught his first of two, and went 90 yards for the score.

“You know, I’m very thankful for the opportunity to play. Especially with all my Malvern guys”, Hardy said. “There’s a couple kids here who I played with in middle school too. Which was very cool, and to win the MVP I mean I couldn’t do it without my quarterback’s”.
Team Allison started the third quarter with the ball, and went 3 and out. They then followed up with a blocked punt on defense, setting them up to strike their first points of the game.
After the quarter switch, they did exactly what was set up to do. Oxford’s QB Aiden Kane drove his team into scoring position, converting on multiple third down plays. They were faced with a 4th and 8, at Team Carroll’s 19, and Downingtown East WR Zach Lindsay caught a back shoulder touchdown to get Team Allison on the board.
“It’s really special you know, it’s all I ever really wanted. Excelling through the years, and starting at a point where I wasn’t starting freshman year, I feel like I excelled,” Lindsay said, after receiving the offensive player of the game for Team Allison.
It did not take long for Team Carroll to respond, at all. After receiving the kickoff, West Chester East QB Nate Derosa threw a 75 yard touchdown to Luke Hardy, making it Hardy’s second touchdown, and the last score for Team Carroll.
After throwing an interception to Conestoga’s LB Jerry Wang, Team Allison finished the game out with a strong rally. Once they got the ball back with (6:28) to go in the fourth, they completed a 74 yard drive led by Downingtown East QB Mason Ippolito who ran in the drive capping touchdown, but missed the PAT.
Things kept going Team Allison’s way, they received the onside kick. After facing a couple third and manageable’s, Team Allison got in the red zone from a 10 yard grab by Kennett’s Aiden Ritch. Aiden Kane did it again, running in the game’s closing score, which led the team to go for two, but failed to convert.
Team Carroll received the kickoff, took the knee, and that wrapped up the 2025 Valor Bowl.
