CHESTER PA – If you looked away for a split second, you would have missed the entire 2022 PA high school football season. Like every year, the wait is treadful, but it is over faster than you know. At 2:00pm today, the names dropped for the PFN Coaches All-Team, both for first team, and second team. Chester found themselves highlighted both on first and second team with two and one players, respectively.

First team selections included WR Cymeer Brown and TE Dominic Toy.

Second team selections included the freshman sensation QB Jalen Harris.

I got to ask them what this achivement meant to them and what they had to say.

Veteran WR Cymeer Brown has grinded every season to put his name on the map and on the state level it. “…I want to first thank my coaching staff and mainly my coach, Lamar. I want to thank him because if it wasn’t for him pulling up at my house [and] just popping up to come get me out to train and work in the summer. Also, I feel great about it. All my hard work paid off, now it’s time for the bigger level. I love the players I played with and also my coaching staff. If it wasn’t for y’all getting on me, I don’t know what I would’ve been doing, love y’all.”

As for the insanely athletic junior Dom Toy he has found himself an early start. While only a junior in high school, he comes in at 6’5 and 220lbs. He has received standout offers from Temple and Boston College. He shows true leadership and humbleness as he gets ready for his senior season, “It’s a awesome feeling, but I amnot finish[ed] leading my team.”

In his first season as varsity QB Jalen Harris’ labors paid off. “It feels good to go all state as a freshman, and it just feels good to bring more light to the football program.”
