The Chester Clippers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back against West Philadelphia. The Clippers scored their first touchdown courtesy of senior RB Dayshon Jackson’s 2 yard rushing score to take an early 6-0 lead with 7:57 left in the opening quarter. West Philly had trouble early sustaining drives and moving the ball which lead to the defense being tired and Chester scored its second touchdown of the day on a Larry McDonald 13 yard rushing score to take a 13-0 lead with 4:41 left in the 2nd quarter. The score remained 13-0 at the half. Chester tacked on 3 2nd half scores highlighted by a shifty 5 yard rushing touchdown by Daron Harris. West got on the board with just over 5 minutes remaining when Sr RB Zahir Cleveland rushed for 47 yards on a drive setting up Xavier Howard to rush for the touchdown and Jr Mekhi Bryant got the 2 point conversion for the final 33-8 margin.

Chester will prepare for their road game at Imhotep next Saturday at 7pm. West Philadelphia begins league play traveling to neighboring Boys Latin HS at 1pm next Saturday.
