District 1 Statistical Leaders: 2023 Defense

The 2023 season ended a little over a month and a half ago and the District 1 staff here at PFN has been busy compiling stats. We looked at the following offensive categories: Passing Yards, Rushing Yards, and Receiving Yards. These are the top 5 student-athletes regardless of classification in each of those categories. Congratulations to each stat leader.

Tackling Champ–  Senior linebacker  Marco Kaufman out of Strath Haven led the District in total tackles with 160. The 6’1 180 lb MLB contributed to the success of the defense that delivered a district championship.

Sack Champ– Senior DE/OLD TJ Bocella from Pope John Paul II led the district in sacks with 13.  He also had 42 TFL, 97 total tackles, & 3 blocked punts.   

Interception Champ-  Sophomore athlete/FS Daron Harris out of Chester led the District in interceptions with 7. He is now up to 11 in his first two seasons with the Clippers. While it is still early in his recruitment. he holds offers from Robert Morris, Syracuse, &  UConn.
