District 10 6A Title Game Preview

Friday, November 3rd – Erie vs. McDowell – 7 pm – Edinboro University

McDowell won the regular season contest 47-21 on September 15th.

Blayze Myers completed 22-of-27 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 47 yards and a score. Dominic Berarducci rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown. James Zigler caught four passes for 82 yards, and Stephon Porter added six receptions for 65 yards with a pair of touchdowns. Adrien Tate ran a 75-yard touchdown for Erie and finished the night with a game-high 90 yards on four carries – Cam Barnes ran a 57-yard score and finished the contest with 60 yards on two rushes. Tajhae Thomas also scored on the ground for the Royals.

Summary – McDowell will look to win their sixth straight district title Friday night when they take on Erie High. The Trojans beat the Royals 47-21 on September 15th. The Trojans are led by junior quarterback Blayze Myers, who passed for 2198 yards and 27 touchdowns. Penn State commit Cooper Cousins anchors the Trojan line. Dominic Berarducci leads McDowell in rushing, while Berarducci and Drew Pilatowski lead the Trojan defense in tackles.

About the Erie Royals

Summary – Erie will be looking for their second district title since 2017, when they beat McDowell 35-34. The Royals are led by their rushing attack, with Tajhae Thomas, Adrien Tate, and Nyciere Smith leading the way. Quani Darnell has passed for over 500 yards for Erie. The Royals will seek revenge following that 47-21 setback to McDowell on September 15th.
