Cathedral Prep improved to 5-0 with a 36-24 victory on Canisius Thursday night at Dollinger Field.

Fort LeBoeuf 21, Grove City 17

Hunter Villa’s interception in the end zone with seconds remaining lifted Fort LeBoeuf to a thrilling 21-17 victory over Grove City. The Bison led 14-3 at halftime thanks to a 70-yard run by Dominic Walters and a 3-yard run from Damian Blose. Jonah Stucchio connected on three field goals of 32, 36, and 28 yards, adding a 25-yard run for the Eagles. He finished the night with 51 yards on six carries. Blose scored his second touchdown of the night on an 18-yard run that proved to be the difference. Blose ran for 123 yards, while Walters added 105 yards. Fort LeBoeuf did not complete a pass.

Oil City 28, Fairview 14

Cole Findlay completed 10-of-18 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns to lead Oil City past Fairview 28-14. Findlay threw 45 and 88-yard touchdowns to De’Vaughn Griffin and Gavin Stephens, respectively, as the Oilers led 14-0 at halftime. Late in the third quarter, Steve Heise’s 15-yard run gave Oil City a 21-0 lead. Fairview got back into the game when Josh Lockett and Vinny Campoli scored a pair of 2-yard touchdowns. However, Findlay connected with Griffin again for a 32-yard score with 3:18 to play. Stephens had four receptions for 115 yards, while Griffin caught four for 82. Campoli completed 12-of-28 passes for 138 yards while adding 94 on the ground to lead the Tigers.

Titusville 56, Warren 0

Titusville built a 42-0 halftime lead and never looked back as the Rockets rolled past Warren. Ian McDonald completed 13-of-16 passes for 235 yards and four touchdowns to lead Titusville. Kameron Mong caught five balls for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Brett Schmidt hauled in six passes for 79 yards and a score. Jaxon Covell rushed for 205 yards on ten attempts and scored three times while adding two receptions for 67 yards and a fourth touchdown. Ayden Corbett rushed for 49 yards, and Aiden Eger ran for 42 to lead the Dragons.

Seneca 20, Girard 14

Seneca blocked three punts, and Dominic Buscemi returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown to lead Seneca past Girard. Buscemi rushed for 66 yards, while Rylan Harwood ran for a game-high 75 yards on ten carries. Ryan St. Julien and Carson Stevens combined to throw for 225 yards to lead the Yellowjackets. Steven had a pair of rushing touchdowns for Girard, but they only managed five yards rushing as a team.

Cambridge Springs 36, Iroquois 20

Cambridge Springs ran for 324 yards and five touchdowns to knockoff Iroquois 36-20. Brett Kania rushed 24 times for a game-high 205 yards and a touchdown for the Blue Devils. Jordan Washington added 93 yards on ten carries and scored four rushing touchdowns. Cole Bennett had another big game for the Braves, completing 15-of-28 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Nykeem Abu-Zebiba caught six passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. Carmelo Hunter caught a 47-yard pass from Bennett, and Treyvon Scott also received a touchdown.

Mercyhurst Prep 26, Harbor Creek 20

Vinnie Feliciano rushed 270 yards on 29 carries, scoring four total touchdowns to lead Mercyhurst Prep to their third consecutive victory. The Lakers made a goal-line stand in the closing seconds to preserve the victory. Feliciano scored on a 20-yard run with 2:37 to play, giving Mercyhurst a 26-20 lead. Harbor Creek drove down the field, only to be stuffed on a 4th-and-goal from the Lakers’ 1-yard line with 19 seconds to play. Feliciano caught a 23-yard touchdown to open the scoring before his 40-yard run tied the game at 14. He broke loose for a 63-yarder that tied the score at 20. The Huskies got a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs from Heath Betza and Tyshawn Jones. Jones also scored on a 9-yard run. Jones rushed for 37 yards, while Gavin Zillman led the Huskies with 72 yards on ten carries. Betza completed 7-of-16 passes for 81 yards.

General McLane 33, Corry 19

Isaac Zietz threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns to lead General McLane past Corry 33-19. Corry cracked the scoreboard first on a 2-yard run by Mason Savitz. Early in the second quarter, Jared Corwin, who caught a game-high seven passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns, scored on a 1-yard run, giving the Lancers a 7-6 lead. The game saw three touchdowns in the final two at 2:35 of the first half as Beavers quarterback Nolan Carey threw a 12-yard touchdown to Keaton Frisina; the Lancers answered with Corwin’s 58-yard pass from Zietz and Teige Berger’s 3-yard run. In the third quarter,  Isaac Zietz threw an 18-yard touchdown to his twin brother Jacob. Corry closed the gap to 27-19 when Carey threw a 9-yard pass to Blake Cook. General McLane put the game on ice at 4:22 when Zietz threw a 14-yard pass to Corwin. Carey completed 16-of-33 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns.

Reynolds 36, Lakeview 26

In a battle of 3-1 teams, Reynolds proved victorious with a 36-26 victory over Lakeview. Gabe Minjarez ran for 180 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Raiders. Minjarez scored on runs of nine and 14 yards, giving Reynolds a 13-0 lead. His 2-yard run, followed by Paker Nay’s 40-yard interception return eight seconds later, gave Reynolds a 36-20 lead with 3:04 to play. Nay also scored on a 24-yard pass from Xavier Zachrich. Lakeview got 161 yards from Blake Skiles, who caught ten passes for 105 yards and rushed for 56 yards on six carries, scoring on a 22-yard run in the second quarter. Leyton Zacherl completed 20-of-33 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns, tossing 35 yards to Brayden Booher and five yards to Julian Zacherl. Leyton Zacherl also scored on a 2-yard run for the Sailors.

Saegertown 21, Union City 14

Blake Burchill scored on a 4-yard run in overtime to lift Saegertown to a 21-14 victory over Union City. Late in the first half, Union City scored when Matthew Eliason connected with JJ Karmazin on a touchdown pass. The Bears went ahead 14-0 on Eliason’s 1-yard in the third quarter. Aaron Shartle scored on runs of nine and five yards as the Panthers tied the game by the end of the third quarter. Shartle ran for 39 yards on ten carries, while Cru Scott led Saegertown with 79 yards on 14 attempts. Austin Brown ran for 100 yards on 30 carries to lead Union City.

Maplewood 55, Kennedy Catholic 12

Andrew Proper ran for 215 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries to lead the Tigers. Maplewood led 42-0 at halftime. Kyle Jordan threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Levi Willison while adding a rushing touchdown. Dakotah Crum and Cadyn Shetler ran touchdowns, while Chase Macquarrie added two on the ground.

Greenville 49, Mercer 13

Greenville built a 49-0 halftime lead en route to a 49-13 win over Mercer. Justin Schell caught touchdown passes of 20 and 43 yards from Nick Solderich and Cael Thurber, respectively, while returning an interception for a touchdown. Rudy Gentile rushed for 98 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns. Solderich ran for 109 yards on six carries and scored on a 64-yard run. Teague Calvin also scored a rushing touchdown for the Trojans. Alex Leftheris returned a fumble for a touchdown, and Brady James scored on a 12-yard run for the Mercer touchdowns.

Sharpsville 35, Slippery Rock 7

Sharpsville built a 21-0 halftime lead and 35-0 after three quarters to improve to 4-1 on the season. Aiden Cadman threw first-half touchdowns to Jaiden White of 42 yards and a 44-yard strike to Aiden Puskar. White also scored a rushing touchdown for the Blue Devils.

McDowell 49, Meadville 21

Blayze Myers accounted for four total touchdowns as McDowell downed Meadville. The Trojans led 35-7 at halftime. Myers tossed a 52-yard touchdown to Kayden Dobbs while scoring on a 5-yard run. Deymar Dickerson scored on runs of 31 and 36 yards, Jake Hower also returned a punt for a touchdown. In the second half, Myers threw a 29-yard touchdown to Owen Haffey and scored his second 5-yard rushing touchdown. The Bulldogs got two rushing touchdowns from Jacoby Thompson and Braydn Miller. Miller also scored on a 20-yard pass from A.J. Feleppa. Jordan Lawrence led Meadville with 154 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Northwestern 26, Conneaut 21

Braden Swift threw for four touchdowns as Northwestern won their second consecutive game 26-21 over Conneaut. Swift completed 9-of-16 passes for 236 yards. Reese Gonzales caught four passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Dalton Hough caught a 4-yard score from Swift, while Brady Bickenhouser ran for 162 yards on 14 carries and caught a 46-yard pass from Swift. Joe Furgiuele had another monster game for Conneaut as he rushed for 211 yards on 25 carries with a pair of touchdowns. Ben Easler also threw a touchdown to Alex Paskorz.

Eisenhower 27, Cochranton 0

Logan Penley rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns to lead Eisenhower past Cochranton 27-0. Joe Gigliotti ran a 37-yard touchdown for the Knights and finished the night with 81 yards on six carries. Caleb Jakubczak added a 1-yard run and ran for 36 yards. Walker Carroll led the Cardinals, completing 10-for-18 passing for 50 yards while rushing for 39 yards.

Hickory 27, Erie 25

Hickory rebounded from their first loss against Sharon a week ago with a 27-25 victory over 6A Erie High. Kelvin Morrison rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown to lead the Hornets. Jamal Calhoun added a 6-yard touchdown run. Zander Telesz tossed a 10-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Borowicz, who also returned a kickoff 60 yards for a score. Jack Musone rushed for 71 yards on six carries and scored two touchdowns for the Royals. Quani Darnell also tossed a pair of scores to Tajhae Thomas and Arydah Pacley. Thomas caught eight passes for 117 yards, while Darnell completed 19-of-26 passes for 206 yards, two scores and an interception.

Sharon 14, Farrell 7

Sharon won their first Steel Bowl since 2008, rallying from a 7-0 halftime deficit.

North East 38, Franklin 7

North East won their first game of the season with a 38-7 victory over Franklin. Ethen Ringer rushed for 172 yards on 20 carries, scoring three touchdowns to lead the ‘Pickers. Pascal Laporte and Bryson Galloway also scored rushing touchdowns. Galloway completed 15-of-23 passes for 128 yards. Caden Mincer scored Franklin’s touchdown on a 24-yard run.
