The Big 33 all-star game is a prestigious honor for those players who are selected. Many great players have strapped on those uniforms and competed in this game which used to pit the best players in Pennsylvania against the best players in Ohio. Currently the format pits the best players in Pennsylvania against the best players in Maryland. This year District 12 has 4 players who have been selected to participate in the game. District 12 5A Champion and state finalist Imhotep Charter has 2 players in OLB Semaj Bridgeman (Michigan) and S Rahmir Stewart (Nebraska) who have been honored with the opportunity to play in this game. Rahmir & Semaj get to be teammates one more time before heading off to college and becoming rivals for the next 3-5 years as both Michigan and Nebraska play in the Big Ten Conference. Also representing District 12 in the Public League will be Northeast star LT Naquil Betrand who will be playing at SEC program Texas A&M University next season. After a dominating and great senior season that ended with a D12 city championship game loss to SJ Prep, Naquil once again gets to represent the Vikings once more time with a chance to go out with a victory. Also representing District 12 will be DE Jamieal Lyons from Roman Catholic which finished the year as the Catholic League 4A Champions and D12 runner up after a close hard-fought loss to Imhotep in the City 5A Championship game. Jamieal will be heading to State College and suiting up for the Penn State Nittany Lions next season.
