The Downingtown East Cougars defeated The Coatesville Red Raiders 21-0 as their rivalry continues to blossom.

Coatesville, the defending seven-time consecutive Chesmont Champs, fought to the end in a tough, rainy game.

Downingtown East (8-0) has won two out of the past three match ups against the Red Raiders and is one step closer to their first Chesmont Championship since The Cougars undefeated season in 2015.

Cougars head coach Mike Matta and the Cougars defense have earned their sixth shutout of the season and face Downingtown West (8-1) next Friday for the ‘Battle of Brandywine’ and Chesmont title.
