NORTHAMPTON CLINCHES THE NORTH

The Konkrete Kids with their huge win over Dieruff clinched the EPC North with an 8-0 record and 9-0 overall. The Kids play an injury-riddled Whitehall team on Friday in a rivalry game.

Northampton 48, Louis E. Dieruff 7

The Konkrete Kids got a balanced offense from their quarterback, Cooper King. The defense was led by Joe Sharga’s quarterback sacks and a forced fumble turnover and another fumble he recovered in the end zone for a touchdown.

Allentown Central Catholic 49, Pocono Mountain East 0

This game was never in question as the Vikings clinched a 4A D11 berth in the playoffs.

East Stroudsburg South 49, Stroudsburg 7

The little brown jug goes to the Cavaliers up North in the Poconos. Led by senior, quarterback, Robert McClosky the East Stroudsburg offense rolled all night to a 49-7 victory.

Easton, 17, Emmaus 13

Easton rallied late in the game and beat Emmaus 17-13. Senior quarterback Cole Transue threw two second-half touchdown passes to Nino Ruzzoilini and Kyle Evancho and Easton’s defense played their best game of the year. EASTON DOWN 13-3, rallied back to beat the Green Hornets in Emmaus.

Nazareth 35, Whitehall 14

Coach Tom Falzone racked up win number 50 for the Blue Eagles in this one. Nazareth also clinches a 6A berth.
Whitehall which is in the 5A D11, playoffs have many injuries and Nazareth did not falter. The Blue Eagles also clinched a 6A berth.

Parkland 27, Bethlehem Liberty 10

Deante Crawford had 30 carries and 15 yards in this one. Liberty led 7-0 at the half, but Parkland came out blazing en route to a 27-10 win at Bethlehem School District stadium.

William Allen 71, East Stroudsburg North 8

Not a surprise Allen won, it’s how they won in a route 71-8. The huge showdown this week versus rival Louis E. Dieruff. will take place on Saturday.

Bethlehem Freedom 24, Bethlehem Catholic 21

Quarterback Brian Taylor threw 3 touchdown passes as Freedom had to hold off Becahi 24-21 in Bethlehem.

Pocono Mountain West 19, Pleasant Valley 0

West all but clinched a 6A berth and Pleasant Valley will battle Stroudsburg for the #8 spot this week.
