The Fort Cherry ranger defeated the Cornell Raiders to remain one of the only five undefeated teams in the WPIAL.  Fort Cherry came into the game with a 7-0 record and Cornell had a 6-1 record.  It was the steelers high game of the week and Elandon Roberts was at the game.  Fort Cherry received the ball to start the game.  Fort Cherry and Cornell went back and forth trading punts for the first couple of drives.  Cornell got on the board first in the first quarter with a rushing touchdown by Khylil Johnson.  Matt Sieg fumbled, and it was recovered by Phil Barker to give Cornell the ball back.  Cornell ended up punting the ball back to Fort Cherry.  At the end of the first quarter, it was 7-0 Cornell.  On the first drive of the second quarter Fort Cherry running back Ethan Faletto tied the game up at seven.  Later in the second quarter, Fort Cherry scored again on a Matt Sieg touchdown run to make it 14-7.  On Cornells next drive Louis Brown intercepted a pass which turned into a touchdown by Matt Sieg to make the score 21-7.

The final score was 42-13 Fort Cherry Rangers over the Cornell Raiders.  The player of the game was Matt Sieg with four touchdowns and one interception on defense.

Fort Cherry will look to keep the momentum going against Carlynton next week.  Cornell will look to bounce back with a win against the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers.
