It was a special night at Paul J. Weitz Stadium, as the Harbor Creek Football program defeated the Conneaut Eagles 42-0 to secure the 400th win in the program’s history.

The Huskies’ defense would ultimately have the upper hand all night long, pushing the Eagles backward for much of the game, and needed only four plays to find the end zone on their initial drive as TyShawn Jones scored on a 21-yard run.

Harbor Creek extended their lead when Jones took it to the house again on the Huskies’ next drive, this time for 65 yards, and would later score a third time early in the second quarter on a 40-yard run.

Jones rushed for a game-high 170 yards

Harbor Creek would continue to dominate on both sides of the ball, and Quarterback Heath Betza would throw a 21-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Pius to make it 27-0 before halftime.

Conneaut then went on their best drive of the night in the third quarter, only for the football to end up in the hands of the Huskies by a fumble.

It was all Harbor Creek for the rest of the night, as touchdowns from Lance Brown and Elliot Backstrom would add to the Huskies’ lead.

Harbor Creek would emerge victorious for the first time in 2023, reaching 400 wins in the program’s 94-year history.

They’ll look for win number 401 next week against Region 5 opponent Corry while Conneaut travels to take on the Warren Dragons.
