Helmkamp signs letter of intent to Army

Last Wednesday, Trinity High School Offensive Tackle Braeden Helmkamp signed his letter of intent to continue his athletic career at Army West Point. Helmkamp, a 6’5” senior, is a four year football letterwinner and was a nominee for the Bill Fralic Award.

In his senior season, he was nominated for 1st Team All-Conference as an Offensive Tackle and 2nd Team All-Conference as a Defensive Lineman. He finished last season with 49 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss and 5 sacks. At Army West Point, Helmkamp will be coached by Jeff Monken.
Helmkamp also had offers to attend Bucknell, Brown, Stony Brook, Columbia, Fordham, Duquesne, Richmond, Pennsylvania, The Citadel, Robert Morris, Lafayette, and Maine.
