Hollywood’s Cutting Room Floor-Colonial/Schuylkill League Week Six

Time to make the turn into the second half of the regular season in the Skook/Colonial League. Taking a look back on week 5 and check out the match-ups for week six and we’ll take a look at the updated District XI power rankings.

Southern Lehigh, Noorthwestern Lehigh and Palmerton all come into week six with perfect records in the league this week. The Spartans outscoring their oppenents by 77 points in the first quarter seem to be at the top of the charts and might have something to say to grab a District XI 5A championship come November. Dalton Clymer, Mason Bolinger and crew expect to continue to march on for a District playoff spot as well. A showdown with Southern Lehigh looms big in week 10. Palmerton is 5-0 for first time in decades behind quarterback Matt Machalik, who has gone for over 1,000 rushing in last three years for the Bombers

Schuylkill Haven after dropping the first game opening weekend has ripped off four consecutive wins. North SChuylkill only had a disappointing one point loss to Blue Mountain. Bangor has a two game win streak after a disappointing 47-6 loss to Southern Lehigh have only given up seven points in wins over Saucon Valley and Wulson Area. Minersville is also 4-1 only a three point loss to Williams Valley kept them from being perfect

Teams lurking in the shadows include Notre Dame Green Pond, Catasauqua, Pen Argyl, Nativity BVM and Williams Valley are all looking to close out the season strong and sure up a postseason berth in their respective classification. So Let’s get started. Blue Mountain and Marian Catholic are also in the race
