The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes defeated the Catasauqua Rough Riders, 22-13. Aiden Myers had all three Hurricane touchdowns. Rodney Brodie and Dylan Pacheco both scored for the Rough Riders.

Schuylkill Haven won the coin toss and chose to defer. The Hurricanes wasted no time on defense, with Myers getting a sack in the backfield. Catasauqua returned the favor with Jyzaiah Bonilla getting a sack when the Hurricanes earned possession back. The Hurricanes did get on the board first with Myers scoring from 5 yards out at the three-minute mark. The score at the end of the first quarter was 7-0, Haven.

The Hurricanes kept up their defensive efforts with Aiden Clauser chasing down Rough Rider quarterback Aiden Hess for another sack. Catasauqua did have a strong offensive possession with Hess connecting with Brodie for a 72-yard pass play, resulting in a touchdown. The game was tied at 14 heading into the second half.

The Hurricanes continued their scoring with another Myers touchdown, this time from 3 yards out. However, the Rough Riders seemed to dominate the rest of the third quarter. Catasauqua held off any scoring efforts from the Canes for the rest of the quarter. Matthew Fotta recovered a fumble and gave his team possession going into the final 12 minutes.

Pacheco scored for the Rough Riders at the beginning of the fourth, tying the game once again. The extra point was missed. The Hurricanes used this as leverage to finish out this contest strong. Myers escaped multiple Rough Riders to make it to the endzone for his third and final score of the night. The Canes then ran a quarterback sneak through Augustus Warke, who completed the two-point conversion. Adam Balulis then sealed the game for the Canes with an interception. The final score of this matchup was 22-13, Hurricanes.

Mike Farr and his Hurricanes look to keep their win streak alive as they take on Panther Valley next Friday. Travis Brett and his Catasauqua Rough Riders will face Minersville.
