No.1 Player in PA Officially a Nittany Lion

The early signing period is here and this morning Swiss Army knife and consensus 4 star athlete Quinton Martin (6’3” 205 lbs) who held 17 power 5 offers inked his national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Penn State University. Martin’s final decision came down to Penn State and Pitt. Martin and his Belle Vernon Area squad finished the year 13-1 & as back-to-back State Champions in the PIAA’s 3A classification. The Leopards’ leading man racked up 28 total touchdowns in 2023. As a running back He rushed 118 times for 1,181 yards and 16 scores. As a receiver he caught 53 passes for 764 yards and 11 touchdowns.  For his career Martin rushed for 3,787 yards and had 1,471 yards through the air and 56 total touchdowns.  Martin  was a two way starter for Belle Vernon but projects to start his collegiate career on the offensive side.

“Growing up I watched them a lot,” Martin told 247Sports after committing to Penn State. “My mom always watched them. My whole family always watched them. So I grew up watching Penn State football.” Martin continued, “I think what put a nail on it was watching Saquon Barkley play and how he just thrived, how he ran hard. Just watching him play, I was like, ‘Oh, I want to do that. I want to do something like he did.”
