This will be the 45th annual Penn-Ohio Football Classic. The Game is set for Thursday, June 20 at Reeves Field on the campus of Geneva College.
PA currently holds a 31-13 lead in the series. The game alternates between PA and Ohio. When PA hosts, they play the game at Reeves Field on the campus of Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. Players are nominated by their head coaches. The head coach is selected by a game committee, and then they ask for assistant coaches to volunteer. They normally get a mix of coaches from different staffs and that is something they like. Practice started June 10th and the game is June 20th.
The Penn/Ohio game awards 8 $500 scholarships at halftime. Through the years, They have given away over $150k in scholarships. They are very proud of this and strive to do better each year. This year’s game will also recognize the inaugural MAC Hall of Fame. The class includes Larry Bruno, Pat Tarquinio, Karl Florie, Rich Niedbala, Joe Hamilton, Tom Alexander, Tom Marsilio and Joe Savage. They will recognize these recipients between the 1st and 2nd quarter.
