Penn State officially added a potentially game-changing tight end to their roster after Cheshire Academy (Connecticut) TE Luke Reynolds signed his National Letter of Intent this morning. Reynolds committed to the Nittany Lions in late March as a consensus 3-star but has since steadily risen after several national recruiting analysts evaluated him in person. 247 has him graded as the 27th overall prospect in the class and the No.1 TE in the country. When Reynolds committed to the Nittany Lions in late March, he said Penn State’s ability to develop NFL tight ends was a huge factor in his decision. “The history of tight ends at Penn State is unmatched,” he said. “They’re TE U and well known for it. The tight end in their offense is a versatile player and key part in their scheme. They are required to do a little bit of everything, which I love.”
